zinadoo - For all your mobile web needs

Q. Why does the Share By Text message (WAP Push) not work properly on my i-mode mobile phone?

A. Unfortunately, this is outside the scope of zinadoo. Zinadoo sends a standard WAP Push in the Share By Text service, but unfortunately, the i-mode specification does not support this type of message. However all other SMS based services work perfectly on an i-mode phone and your mobile site also appears correctly on an i-mode phone.

Q. Why does the status bar on Mozilla Firefox show "Transferring data from..." when I enter my mobile site.

A. This is related to data-access between the server and the web application. Mozilla does not appear to be updating the status bar even though it receives a response from the server. This can be ignored as the mobile site still loads successfully.

Q. What size and type of image can be added to my zinadoo mobile site?

A. Zinadoo allow you to upload images up to 2MB in size. We allow you to upload JPEG, PNG, GIF and BMP images.

Q. How are images scaled on my zinadoo mobile site?

A. When a visitor to your site navigates to a page that has an image, we detect the exact screen size of their phone. If the image is larger than the screen size then it is scaled to fit it.

Q. What happens if a phone does not support the image that I upload?

A. Zinadoo can detect what images a phone supports. If the phone does not support the image to be displayed we convert it to one that it does. Most phones will support JPEG image as a minimum requirement but we will convert images to WBMP for legacy phones.

Q. Why does a mobile number appear on my phone, rather than the zinadoo short code, when I receive a message from zinadoo?

A. This issue only exists for phones which are on the O2 network and is currently being investigated. It appears that the text message has been issued from a private mobile phone number, rather than from Zinadoo. So make sure you tell everyone not to send a reply message.

Q. Why do my credits not appear immediately after I purchase them?

A. If you have purchased credits on zinadoo, they may not appear immediately in your account. This is due to the fact that it may take a few moments for PayPal to process your transaction. However, the delay between purchasing your credits and seeing them in your account should be minimal. You may check that the transaction has occurred from your 'my profile' tab on the Portfolio page. If you still have a concern around this issue, contact us at support@zinadoo.com

Q. How much does it cost to send text messages to other countries from zinadoo?

A. One standard text to any other mobile phone in the Republic of Ireland will cost one credit. For all other countries, a minimum of two text credits applies.

Q. How many contacts can I send a message to in one go?

A. There are no limitations on the number of contacts you can have or the number of text messages you can send.

Q. What Internet Explorer Security Settings should I use for Zinadoo?

A. Zinadoo requires security settings of Medium for I.E. 6.0 and Medium-High for I.E. 7.0, with scripting enabled. Your security settings can be changed as follows:

  1. Choose Tools from the menu.
  2. Select Internet Options.
  3. Select the Security Tab.
  4. Click on Custom Level.
  5. Set the Security Level to Medium/Medium-High.
  6. Check that scripting is enabled in the Settings.
  7. Click OK to save the changes you have made.

Q. Why is some functionality not working on zinadoo.com?

A. This may be related to your browser's security settings. If you are using Internet Explorer, some functionality of zinadoo may not be available to you. Zinadoo recommends that you change your security settings to Medium for I.E. 6.0 or Medium-High for I.E. 7.0, and enable scripting. For the steps involved in achieving this see question "What Internet Explorer Security Settings should I use for Zinadoo?"
